J. Season Schedule / Playoffs

J.1 Regular Season
The PTD regular season will last thirteen (14) weeks, the first fourteen weeks of the NFL season. Each franchise will play 6 division and 8 non-division games. Each franchise plays each franchise in their division twice and 8 other teams one time. 

J.2 Schedule Creation
The schedule is generated randomly by MFL site each year. Division games will be Weeks 1-3 and Weeks 12-14.

J.3 Post Season
The PTD playoffs begin on week 15 of the NFL season. The playoffs conclude with the Prime Time Championship - Big Game (Week 17).

J.4 Qualifying for Post Season
Six (6) out of the twelve (12) teams in the league will make the playoffs.

Three division winners clinch a playoff berth with the two with the best records getting first round byes. (Seeds #1 AND #2) The division winner with the worst record will be the #3 seed. (See tiebreaker section for tiebreaker rules J.5)

Seeds 4 and 5 will be the remaining teams with the best records (wild card teams). (See tiebreaker section for tiebreaker rules J.5). Seed 6 will be the remaining team who has scored the most points. (See tiebreaker section for tiebreaker rules J.5)

J.5 Division/Playoff Seeding Tiebreakers
The PTD tie-breaking system for playoff qualification is as follows:

If teams finish with identical records the following tiebreaker criteria will be used:
1) Head to head record (Division tiebreaker only - playoffs use Total points #1)
2) Overall Total Points
3) Best Division Record
4) Best Non-division Record
5) Virtual Dice Roll - Highest Score Wins

J.6 Call-Out Playoff Schedule
The highest "playing" seed gets to call out their opponent of choice. In round 1 of the playoffs, the #3 seed can choose from seeds #4, #5 or #6. In round 2, seed #1 gets to choose between seed #2 and the two remaining teams. (used in Losers Bracket as well).

J.6.A Call-out Deadline
    *** Deadline for call out is Wednesday at 8:00 PM EST. If this is missed, team will be penalized per tiered penalty system (Section A).
    *** In the occurrence that the team misses the call out deadline (Wed. 8:00PM EST) the next highest seed will be notified by commish that they have until Thursday at 6:00 PM to "call out" their opponent. If they miss deadline, they will be penalized per current bylaws and the matchups will be seeded lowest vs. highest (3 v. 6, 4 v.5).

J.7 Playoff Game Tiebreakers
Playoff Games that result in a tie will be broken in this manner.

1st Tiebreaker: Total Offensive Yards from starting lineup
2nd Tiebreaker: Fewest total yards allowed by starting Team Defense
3rd Tiebreaker: Total Touchdowns scored by starting lineup
4th Tiebreaker: Highest Scoring starting QB
5th Tiebreaker: Highest Scoring starting RB
6th Tiebreaker: Highest Scoring starting WR
7th Tiebreaker: Highest Scoring starting TE
8th Tiebreaker: Highest Scoring starting K
9th Tiebreaker: Highest Scoring starting Team DEF

J.8 The Losers Bracket Tournament
The six (6) teams that do not make the playoffs will enter into the Losers Bracket. This tournament will follow the exact criteria of the Big Game Championship Bracket

J.9 Division Throwdown
The PTD will have a Division Throwdown in Week 18 of the NFL regular season. Each division winner must pick a starting lineup consisting of at least one player from each team in the division.  Lineups must be posted on the Message Board in the appropriate thread (started by commish) prior to first game of wee
    *** Each team in the Winning Division will get $10 PTB’s.
    *** If there is a tie teams from both divisions get $10 PTB's.
