I. Trading

I.1 Trades
** GM's may trade players at any times throughout the calendar year that trading is not restricted. Trades can be made between two or more owners in the PTD. Trades are allowed to be made during the PTD Draft.

* It is recommended all trade discussions be done through email, instant messaging, or private messaging on message board, as clicking the wrong thing on MFL could make it official!
* Only use MFL when trade is official! Once trade has been offered and accepted by both owners, the trade is official immediately!
* A trade must be accepted by both owners and made official before any of the players can be started.
* Trades will not be accepted that causes any team to have an invalid roster.
* Trades made after the lineup deadline has passed (players) can only play starting with the next week.

EXAMPLE: During Week 4 Brawlers trade Mike Vick to Eternals at 1:30 PM on Sunday. Vick's stats count for the Brawlers for that Week and NOT for the Eternals.

I.1.A. Trading Restrictions
** The PTD has a 5 week window where no trading can take place. This is from the beginning of week 13 (Trade Deadline) to the conclusion of Week 18 (end of Monday night game). Trades can be discussed and agreed upon at this time but cannot be announced until the conclusion of Week 18.

I.2 Unethical Trading Regulations
** Selling off your team (making an unfair trade in order to make another team better) is a serious offense and will not be tolerated by the PTD. If a team is accused of this, the commissioner will call the rules committee to a vote. A 3/4 vote expels both owners involved from the league forever.

** Loaning" players. (i.e. "I'll trade you my backup defense, but you have to give it back after your bye week.") and Two-part trades. ("You give me LT this week and I'll give you LJ next week," or, "Here's a 3 player for 3 player trade, but I don't want to give you my RB until next week. Let's trade the other 2 for 2 now and agree to swap the remaining players next week") are STRICTLY PROHIBITED! If this occurs both owners will be voted on by the rules committee and a 3/4 expels both owners from the league!

** Any GM can request that a trade be brought to the rules committee for evaluation (ONLY once per season)

** Both parties must receive some type of compensation (player(s), pick(s), PTB(s),or cap relief (i.e trading a player for nothing - one team gets player, other gets cap relief) for a trade to be official.

I.3 Trading of Draft Picks
** GM's are allowed to trade draft picks and future draft picks in the PTD. To trade draft picks, the owners must declare which round(s)/year(s) draft picks are involved in the trade and the team that owns the pick. Trading for undetermined draft picks will not be allowed!

I.3.A Trading of Future Draft Picks
** Future picks may only be traded two years in advance. (MFL will only allow 2 years in advance to be traded)

I.4 Trade Deadline:
** The trade deadline is at 7:00 PM EST Thursday before Week 13 kickoff of Thursday night game. The trade must be processed (offered and accepted) BEFORE this deadline to be accepted. Even if trade is agreed upon via some other method, it is not official until it is processed via MFL. No trade will be allowed after that deadline even if it was offered before the deadline.

** Trading is open again at the conclusion of the PTD Division Throwdown (end of Monday night - Week 18)

I.5 Three Way Trades
** Trades can be completed involving 3 teams. All three-way trades must adhere to all rules regarding trading already set forth in bylaws. In addition, two other stipulations must be met since MFL cannot process three-way trades:

1.) Trade must be announced to commissioner via email. All teams involved have 12 hours from time stamp on first received email to confirm trade. If any one of the parties involved in trade do not confirm trade via email to commissioner within 12 hours TRADE IS NULL AND VOID! (meaning all 3 must confirm trade)

2.) All emails regarding trade must be sent to commissioner and ALL parties involved (CC on emails)

** Time stamps on emails will be official timers **

I.6 Trading of Tagged Players
** After the tag announcement deadline (March 15th), all players who have been tagged (either FT or TT) are eligible to be traded.
1.) There is no limit to number of tagged players a franchise can acquire
2.) Team acquiring tagged players receives all rights to said player(including PTB and draft pick compensation)

EX:) Brawlers franchise tag Carson Wentz and trade him to Hellions. Hellions now have all rights to Carson Wentz. If Hellions lose him in RFA they receive the first round draft pick and 50 PTB's as compensation for losing him.
